What we do

Picture
Conceptually, carcinogenesis can be broken down into "initiating" events and "sustaining" events. Initiating events are usually up-regulation of oncogenes, or down regulation of tumor suppressors; while sustaining events are changes in metabolism that allow for constant proliferation, growth of new blood vessels, and evasion of the innate immune system. We study them all!
